Janice Mae Bernier

Janice Mae Bernier from Needham and Falmouth, MA, formerly of Rockland, MA passed away on January 29, 2025, at the age of 79, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Janice was born on May 28, 1945, in Brockton, daughter of the late M. Louise (Haggerty) and Ernest N. LaCombe.
She attended Cardinal Spellman High School and Boston Chandler School for Women.After raising her family, she continued her education at Massachusetts Bay Community College and Western New England University where she studied computer programming.
She worked as an IT Project Manager for State Street until retirement.During retirement she enjoyed traveling to Florida, Aruba and many other destinations. She spent most of her time in Falmouth and Wareham, MA enjoying time with family and friends.
Jan was a woman of many talents and interests, jewelry designer, seamstress, painter and stainedglass creator and was also a Reiki Master just to name few.
Loving Mother of Kelley Larkin and her husband Allan (aka "her favorite son in law") of Medfield, Kim Bernier of N. Attleboro and Keith Bernier of Bourne. Sister of Cheryl Twomey Fritz (Gerhard) of Middleboro, Denise Nota (late William Nota, Jr) of Rockland and Gerald LaCombe (Beverly) of Rockport and the late Carol Jean Ford and Donna Broadbent. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and longtime companion Herb Wydom.
Visting hours will begin at 10:30 Wednesday, February 12th in Chapman and Cremations 548 Route 28A West Falmouth. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 12:00 noon and burial will follow the Service in the North Falmouth Cemetery.
