Janice M. Clouser, 84, of West Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born on May 22, 1941, in Frankfort, Indiana, to Benjamin White and Neva A. (Foust) Strange.
Janice graduated from Frankfort High School in 1959 and later earned her associate degree from Ivy Tech. She devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and took great pride in caring for those she loved. On August 14, 1960, she married Phillip Clouser, who survives.
A woman of faith and community, Janice was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, reading, and being crafty.
Along with her husband of 65 years, Janice is survived by her children, Brian Clouser of Frankfort, Daniel Clouser of West Lafayette, Karen (Thomas) Clouser of Frankfort, Victoria Price of West Lafayette, and Patrick (Amber) Clouser of Frankfort; her brother, Robert White of Indianapolis; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a bonus father that helped raiser her, Carl Strange; two brothers, Charles Strange and Sonny White; her sister, Peggy Payne; two children, Melanie Clouser and John Clouser; her granddaughter, Ashley Clouser; and an infant great-grandson.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 4-7pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, January 8 at 11am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Janice’s honor to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
