Janice Marie (Overly) Crann, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24, 2024. She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Overly) Mead and brothers Wayne J. Overly of Florida and James W. Overly of Tennessee.
Janice enjoyed her career as a dental assistant in New Haven and Wallingford. Where she liked helping and getting to know the clients. Some of her favorite activities were baking, gardening, reading, traveling, and volunteering. Some of her favorite travels were to Hawaii to visit her brother Wayne, going to Paris, France, South Africa, and Monterey, CA with her sister. She volunteered in New Haven as a literacy tutor; helped in Habitat for Humanity building homes, and as a liaison with new homeowners in Hamden, she was committed to helping the environment and a greener Earth with her involvement in Recycling Programs in Hamden.
Per her wishes there will be a celebration of life Wednesday, May 29th at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Cemetery, 700 Middletown Ave., North Haven. She will be laid to rest next to her mother Catherine (Lipka) Overly and other predeceased family members.
