Janice Farrington Hayes, 91, of So. Hero, VT and Norfolk, MA passed away peacefully on June 26, 2022. She was born in Burlington, Vermont to Ernest and Hilda (Hicks) Farrington. She grew up in Burlington and after marrying Jerry McGinley moved to Essex Junction where they raised their four children. The family was active in skiing and the racing program at Madonna Mountain and spent many happy summers with friends boating on Lake Champlain. She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband Jerry McGinley; second husband Leonard Hayes; her son William (Bill) McGinley; brother Robert (Bob) Farrington; and granddaughter Alissa Bartelloni.
She leaves her daughters Sharon Bartelloni (Peter) of Norfolk MA and So. Hero; Katherine Wessel and Linda Murphy, both of Sun Valley, Idaho; grandchildren Michael and Nicholas (Sara) Bartelloni and Erin and Megan Murphy; great grandchildren Brooke and Olivia Bartelloni, and Bill's fiancée Carolyn Sweet, as well as many nieces and nephews.
