Janice Hearin Obituary
Janice was one of ten children born to Henry "H.R." Sr. and Marjorie Pippin. She worked for many years at Audubon Hosiery Mill before retiring. In her "retirement", she enjoyed babysitting for a few years before returning to work with her daughter at A+ Insurance where she worked for 28 years until just over a month ago. She loved pool days at her daughter's home with her adopted daughters, but her greatest joy in life was her grandkids. Janice was in the hospital for 19 days fighting a strong and courageous battle against lung cancer. While she was there, she captured the hearts of so many nurses. They all had their own unique stories about her. She held on to celebrate her daughter's birthday on August 3rd. Her final days held moments of joy and laughter as family gathered by her side.
In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by the love of her life, Charlie Hearin, and siblings: Pamela Vanover, Carole Rigdon, Robert Pippin, Mickey Pippin, and Paul Pippin.
Janice is survived by her daughter Lisa Pippin (Randy) of Corydon, KY; grandson Ryan Pippin (Ariel Alstadt); great grandchildren, Payzlee and Daxton Pippin, and their mother, Randa Sights; bonus great grandchildren: Khloe, Piper, and Briggs; siblings: Ray "H.R." Pippin, Jr. (Cheryl), Tommy Pippin (Candy), Johnny Pippin, and Jackie Pippin (Linda); a host of nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend Linda Henderson.
Relatives and friends are invited to Janice's Life Celebration from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday and again on Friday starting at 12:00 p.m. at Benton-Glunt & Tapp Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Corydon Cemetery in Corydon, KY.
