Janice Caroline Jeppson (Labrum) passed away at the age of 80 on December 19, 2025 surrounded by family.
A devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, Janice was born in
Boise, Idaho on July 18, 1945 and was the middle child and only daughter of Neil G Labrum (1909-2000) and Zola Caroline (Borup) Labrum (1914-2006). She grew up on the bench of Boise and enjoyed a wonderful childhood. She attended Borah High School and then Boise Junior College for a year before transferring to Brigham Young University where she graduated in 1968 with a degree in Teacher Education, graduating
Cum Laude.
On July 14, 1966 she married Jack Edward Jeppson in the Logan Utah Temple and together they had five children. After living in Boise nearly all of her life, the family
moved to Randolph, New Jersey in 1991 and lived there for almost nine years before returning to the Boise area in 1999. Jack passed away in 2013 and Janice continued
living in
Meridian, ID until her passing. Janice was a talented singer, seamstress and crafter. She was incredibly creative and artistic. She enjoyed creating beautiful things for her home and sewed many of her daughters' Easter and Sunday dresses as they were growing up. Janice also sewed hundreds of pieces of Barbie and other doll clothes for her daughters as well as many quilts for all of her children and grandchildren. She sang for several years in the Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale. She also sang with Boise Opera and performed in many productions including the opera Carmen. She had the opportunity to sing in Carnegie Hall while living on the east coast. Professionally, Janice primarily worked as a teacher in elementary schools and also held an administrative role at EDS in New Jersey. Janice also loved to serve. She faithfully served in many leadership positions within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including a Stake Relief Society Presidency in a BSU Student Stake and as a ward Young Women President, as well as numerous other Relief Society and Young Women callings. She also volunteered many years in the community at the Assistance League of Boise including many hours giving tours at the historic Bown House and working in the Assistance League Thrift Shop.
Grandchildren brought Janice a lot of joy in her life. She was known to put on epic Easter egg hunts for them each year as well as many family dinners, family reunions
and attended as many of their recitals, performances, sporting events, and graduations as possible. She loved being Grammy. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Edward Jeppson, her daughter Kimberly Ann Jeppson and her brother, Dennis Labrum. She is survived by her brother, Larry Labrum, and her children David Alexander Jeppson (Tonya), Scott Edward Jeppson (Mignon), Tiffany Dawn Anderson (Garret), and Nathan Robert Jeppson (Annalisa), 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
