Janice Leak Hopson Wilson

Janice Leak Hopson Wilson, affectionately known as "Girlie" was born May 6, 1961, to James Douglas Hopson Sr., and Lillie Lanell Gilmore Butler. She received her formal education in Temple Independent Public Schools. She united with Bethel Independent Methodist Church in Temple, Texas.
Janice was a hard worker and was employed with Temple Independent School District in Dietary for 20 years; home health for 15 years; and for Arbor House & Meridian Nursing Home in Dietary for 3 years. She was united in marriage to Mr. Gene Wilson in 2010, and he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hopson; maternal grandparents, Hattie Nell Daniels and Stewart Brooks Sr.; maternal great-grandmother, Laura Miller; and one nephew, Jerry Nealy.
Survivors are sons, Centwane Hopson (Lynette) and Michael Ray Rutherford both of Temple, and Willie Joe Gilmore Jr. of Longview; daughters, Jasmine Hopson and Myrissa Ollison (Rasean) both of Temple; her father, James Douglas Hopson Sr. of Houston; her mother, Lillie Butler of Temple; brothers, Rev. Jackie Hopson (Shirley) and Wendell Wilson (Debbie) both of Temple, and James Hopson Jr. of Killeen; eight grandchildren, Amaya Hopson, Chameir Brown, Shamar Brown, Mich'Kayla Brown, Carrissa Brown, Centwane Hopson, Jr., Dykerion Ross, and Jaednce Naylor; one great-grandson, Kyngston Hopson; and a host of relatives and friends.
