Janice Marie Rauzi Morse
On Thursday, November 13, 2025 the most beautiful fall morning, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away. We believe she was met by our Savior, Jesus Christ, her beloved Mama, Daddy, Kenny, and a whole army of loved ones who were waiting for this joyous reunion.
Janice Marie Rauzi Morse was born on February 25, 1940 to Americo "Mick" and Lena Rizzi Rauzi. She entered this world seven minutes after her identical twin, Joyce, who Janice never stopped following. These precious, perfect, beautiful sisters shared an inseparable bond in life, that now continues in death. Janice was raised on a beautiful farm in West Weber, Utah. She had lovely parents who taught her well.
On August 25, 1956, she married Joe Morse. Joe and Janice have been married for 68 years. Together, they had two perfect children (in her eyes), Randy and Cindy. Nothing brought Janice greater joy than her children and family.
Janice was an incredible seamstress and had a career in this field, working and retiring from Catalina sportswear in
Ogden, Utah. Janice was the most wonderful homemaker, her cooking and baking skills were amazing. Everything from homemade ravioli to her famous German chocolate cake were incredible. If you were lucky enough to sit at her table, you were very well fed.
Janice was small but mighty. She had the kindest, most loving, most giving heart. She was full of goodness. Janice had a gift for making everyone feel loved and, in turn, everyone loved her. People really, really, loved her. As a family we are heartbroken at the loss of her. We hold onto our faith that she is happy and that we will meet again.
To all those who loved and cared for her these last 4 weeks, the ICU nurses, the critical care team, the amazing doctors and A+ Hospice, we express our humble thanks and gratitude. Our mom loved a quote that was written on the walls of the old Saint Benedict's Hospital, "Care must be taken of the sick as if they were Christ in person." Our mom was given that care and we are so thankful.
Janice is survived by her husband, Joe; son, Randy (Julie) Morse; daughter, Cindy (Roger) Woodward; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd,
Ogden, Utah, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will follow immediately after at the West Weber Cemetery, located at 950 North Street,
Ogden, Utah.
