Kyle Enrique Elwood

We are here to respectfully remember and celebrate the life of Kyle Enrique Elwood, a courageous, talented, ambitious, and loving soul who graced the world with his presence from October 25, 2001, to November 11, 2025. Born in Fairfield, CA, USA, Kyle profoundly impacted the lives of many with his warmth and unwavering faith. His life journey led him to various places, including San Antonio, TX, Mountain Home, ID, Aviano Italy, Colorado Springs, CO, and finally, Kaysville, Utah, where he resided for the last five years.

Kyle was a man of many talents and unyielding ambition. He demonstrated his love for music through his involvement with the American Guild of Organists, the Ideals Committee at the University of Utah School of Music, and the A Cappella Choir. He was a gifted pianist and organist, often leaving his audiences in awe. He had a dream to one day be one of the organist at Temple Square. Kyle was also a brilliant academic, working towards a double major at the University of Utah in Music, Organ Performance as well as Neurobiology. He was part of the honors college and had completed all pre-medical classes for the Heath Sciences college, maintaining an impressive 3.95 GPA. As a Research Lab Assistant in the field of neurobiology, he brought his unique blend of dedication and talent to the table, contributing immensely to the progression of scientific discovery. He recently had an abstract accepted for presentation at the national neurosicence conference and his research was the basis for a new application for a grant that may provide up to two million dollars of financial assistance to University's research program. His dedication to service was evident through his volunteer work as an interpreter for Spanish speaking patients at the University health clinics and providing vision screening examinations at the Mexican consulate in Salt Lake City.

Kyle's courageous spirit was rooted in his deep faith. A dedicated member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served two years as a missionary, preaching the gospel in the French language within the Montreal, Canada mission. Later, he served as the principal organist for a Spanish-speaking LDS young single adult congregation. His love for God's house was evident in his frequent temple attendance and service as a temple ordinance worker in the Layton, Utah temple.

Kyle is survived by his loving family; his father Robert Elwood, his mother Alicia Elwood, his brothers Kaden and Cameron Elwood, and his grandmother Maureen Elwood. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Andy. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Carlos Elwood.

Services to celebrate Kyle's life will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:00 am MST at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, located at 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404.
