William Charles Terry II ("Bill") passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, as the result of a bicycle accident in Kaysville, Utah. He was born on January 10, 1965, in Sacramento, California, the third child of Charles Richard Terry and Edna Lamb Terry. He was raised in a lively family of four brothers and one sister.
Bill married Mindy Allman in 1997, and together they became the parents of William Charles Terry III (Will) and Samuel David Terry (Sam). Although they later divorced, they maintained a close and supportive relationship as they raised their sons. Bill also remained close to the Allman family throughout his life.
He graduated from Layton High School in Layton, Utah, in 1983. At age nineteen, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Calgary Canada Mission. After his mission, he joined his family in Heidelberg, Germany. Bill's career reflected his entrepreneurial spirit and natural talent for sales, work that came easily to him because of his warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine love for people.
Throughout his life, Bill had a cheerful, positive disposition and was truly a friend to all. He had the ability to form deep and lasting friendships wherever he lived. Many of his lifelong friends were made during his time in Germany, where he treasured the opportunities to travel with family and friends. He often expressed gratitude for the experiences made possible through his father's military service.
Bill developed a love for biking early in life, especially BMX racing, during his years growing up in Layton. He continued his passion for cycling throughout adulthood. Physical fitness was important to him, and he enjoyed staying active in many ways.
He also had a lifelong interest in cars. Bill loved to drive, and being behind the wheel always put a smile on his face. One of his great joys was attending auto races, particularly Formula 1, and he traveled to many events with family and friends whenever he could. He lived his life with a natural sense of style that was simply part of who he was.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill served happily in many callings throughout his life. He lived his faith every day through his love for his family and his readiness to serve and care for others. Bill truly embodied the teaching to love thy neighbor, and his kindness was felt and recognized by everyone around him.
Bill brought immeasurable joy and strength to his family as a devoted son, brother, and father. He was deeply involved in the lives of his parents and siblings, who were always among his highest priorities. That same devotion was evident in the way he lovingly raised his sons. He was extremely proud of them. His many nieces and nephews also felt his steady support and affection and will miss him dearly.
Bill is survived by his parents, Dick and Edna Terry, his sons, William and Samuel Terry, and his siblings: Nancy Terry Clayson (Steven), Steven Terry (Caren), Gregory Terry (Diane), Jeffrey Terry (Joanne), and Michael Terry (Tanya). He is also survived by many extended family members who loved him.
