Janice E. Sciarappa

Janice E. Sciarappa of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023. She was 72 years old.
Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Christie and Catherine (Cahill) Sciarappa. Janice graduated Weymouth North High School in 1968 and went on to graduate from a Dental Assistant program in Quincy. Janice worked for the VA Hospital in Jamaica Plain as an X-ray Supervisor and also worked as a Financial Program Specialist for the Department of Health and Human Services, the US. Coast Guard and finally the USDA Food and Nutrition Services Department until her retirement in 2011. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed drawing, especially cartoons. She was very creative and designed and made jewelry. Janice loved to travel and enjoyed her trips to Ireland, Scotland, and Canada the most. She had very eclectic music taste and listened to many types of music including Celtic music. Janice had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Beloved twin sister of Nancy and her husband John A. Grano of Lexington. Janice will also be missed and remembered by many loving relatives, friends and neighbors.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 5 – 8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private.
