Janice Faye Simon

Janice Faye Simon, 76, of Beaumont, TX passed away February 17, 2026 at Baptist Hospital.

Services will be held February 28, 2026, at Proctors Mortuary 3522 Washington Blvd. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 8AM until Funeral at10AM. A private burial will take place on March 2, 2026, at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Houston, TX.

Janice was born to the late Earnest and Mary Leona Ballard on October 6, 1949. Janice graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in 1968.

Janice accepted Christ at an early age and was a long time member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Dr. John R. Adolph. She worked for 20+ years as a housekeeping supervisor for Ramada Inn in Beaumont, TX before ultimately becoming the best stay at home mother in the world. Janice had a lot to be proud of throughout the years but her most prized possessions were her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as Granny and Mimi.

She met and married the ultimate love of her life, Rev. Samuel Simon in 1982, and they enjoyed 43 years of married bliss.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Mary Leona.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Samuel Simon, her two children: Walter Winn Jr. (Valarie), of Pearland, TX and Samantha Simon (Dorian) of Beaumont, TX. Her bonus daughter Chloe Jefferson (William) of Beaumont, TX. Three grandchildren, Aspen Winn, Jalen Winn and Dorian Joy Valmore (Her Joy-Joy). One Great-Granddaughter Love Linelle Lee. She was also blessed with the love of three bonus grandchildren, Kaidence, Talia and Dorian Valmore Jr. Two sisters whom she considered to be her best friends in the entire world, Carolyn Arline and Eugenia Chargois (Albert). Nephews Roy Jr., Reggie (Tisho), Fred Jr. and Rashad. Nieces Dekova (Stacey), Danielle (Micheal) and Tamara (Andrew) and a host of other cousins, relatives and friends.

Janice was immensely proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
