Janice A. Spivack (nee Kleinman), age 88, devoted widow of Martin I. Spivack, C.P.A. Beloved mother of Dennis B. Spivack, Donna B. Spivack, Andrea F. Spivack, precious grandmother “Jassi” of Madison Eva Silverstein. Daughter of the late David and Eva (Ettenger) Kleinman. Sister of the late Ethel Swerdlow and the late Beatrice Snyderman. Survived by numerous relatives and friends and special ‘Jassi’ to numerous surrogate grandchildren. Janice was a 1954 graduate of Frankford High School. She attended Temple University and was a graduate from Frankford Hospital School of Medical Technology. She was a graduate of the Hebrew Sunday School Society’s Teacher Training course and taught for them. She was a life member of the Theodor Herzel chapter of Hadassah. She was a member and board member of Jewish Women International, Chai Chapter and was an honoree of the 2000 Gift of Love Award. Inspired by Schindler's List, Janice initiated and conducted an annual Shabbat dinner in her home to celebrate the fact that we can practice Judaism freely in the USA. She was a member and former board member of the Advocates for the Jewish Mentally Ill (AJMI) and a member of the Montgomery County Chapter of the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI). Janice was a volunteer for Keystone Hospice and their 24-hour vigil team. She formed special and loving relationships with the staff at Blue Bell Place who took such great care of her.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral services Monday 12 Noon precisely at Goldsteins’ Rosenberg’s Funeral Directors Conshohocken (Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home), 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken, PA 19428. Interment Har Jehuda Cemetery.

Shiva will be observed on Tuesday starting at 4:00 pm and Thursday starting at 6:00 pm at the home of Andrea, 14 Forsythia Ct, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444. Extra parking on Crabapple Drive.
