Janice "Khocolate" Thomas

Janice Thomas aka "Khocolate", a native of Hartford, CT passed away this life on Friday, March 15, 2024. Janice was born on November 12, 1958, in Hartford, CT to T.J. Thomas & the late Valley (Jackson) Thomas. She graduated from Hartford Public High School, Hartford, CT as well as the Hartford Seminary where she became an ordained Minister.
Janice was known as a proud mother of six children (seven including her emotional support "dog-daughter" Kodi). She was also a grandmother to twenty-two grandchildren, and she had a nickname for every one of them!
Janice was known for her sense of humor as well as her say what I mean and mean what I say attitude! After early retirement from the VNA Healthcare of CT, Janice dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. There wasn't a day that went by that she didn't see one of her grandchildren. They were her life.
Janice leaves behind her four daughters, Ebony Glover (Corey) Oteka Thomas, Trianna Burnam, and Brianna Burnam. Her two sons, Kenron Burnam and Brendon Burnam. Also, her sister Teresa Thomas; two brothers, Gregory Thomas and Timothy Woods; twenty-two grandchildren, her "daughter" Kodi Thomas, this service dog who was Janice's seventh child, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.
Janice was predeceased by her mother Valley Thomas; sisters, Veronica Thomas and Valliey Thomas.
