Janie Mae Crum, age 64 of Newport, born November 8, 1960, in Newport, Tn, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. She was an extraordinary woman-an amazing Nana whose kindness, generosity, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. A gifted florist, Janie had a special talent for creating beauty through every arrangement she crafted. Her work was more than art-it was a reflection of her creative spirit and loving heart. Beyond her artistry, Janie was a faithful believer in the Lord Jesus Christ -a true warrior of faith whose life radiated grace, strength, and unwavering trust in her Savior. Her laugher was contagious, her presence was comforting, and to know her was truly to love her. He was preceded in death by her patents, Frank and Pauline Teague; brothers, Danny Ray Hall and Johnny Dwayne Hartsell. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Crum; her children and grandchildren: Shana McMahan, Jim Valentine, Justin Hartsell, Mason McMahan, Gavin and Cierra Valentine; extended family: Darrell and Linda Hall, Glen and Sandy Townsend, Marilyn Thomas, Sheila Jalalabadi; also, several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. There will be a Celebration of Life service Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 2:00 pm Tuesday in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Tim Owen officiating. Burial will follow. "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints" Psalm 116:15 Family and friends may sign the guest register online at: www.manesfuneralhome.com. Arrangements with Manes Funeral Home.
