Janie Thacker Obituary
She was born on Wednesday, November 20, 1957 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Kenneth Lee "Kenny" and Mary Jane (Cook) Thacker.
Janie was a 1976 graduate of Martinsville High School. She was a retired administrative assistant for the division of labor IOSHA and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her sister, Jill McPike of Urbana, Illinois; niece, Sara McPike; nephew, Ryan McPike both of Urbana, Illinois.
With angels and with archangels and with all the company of heaven, Janie joins the great host, arrayed in white in eternity with God, including her parents, Kenny and Mary Jane; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Thelma Cook; paternal grandparents, Jakie Thacker and Esther House.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 3496 East Morgan Street,
Martinsville, Indiana with Pastor Nathan Janssen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Janie will be laid to rest at Liberty Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
