Janina "Jane" A. Kawecki, age 71, passed away at her home in St. Charles, IL surrounded by loved ones on May 3rd following a long courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born on January 2, 1954 in Zakopane, Poland to Anna (nee Iwaniak) and Józef Kipta. Jane immigrated to the United States at the age of 16. Jane was proudly employed by Richardson Electronics in La Fox, IL before finishing her career at Dunlee in Aurora, IL.

Jane was married to the love of her life, Wesley for 51 years. They settled in St. Charles, IL where together they built a life and family, including their children Dave and Renee. As a family, Jane enjoyed traveling and gardening. Jane loved attending Dave and Renee's school and sporting events. She took pride in being a grandmother, frequently attending her grandchild Brooklyn's theater and orchestra performances, and Hailey's volleyball games.

Jane is survived by her husband Wes; son Dave (Bridget) and daughter Renee; grandchildren Brooklyn and Hailey; siblings Kazimierz Kipta, Mieczyslaw (Zofia) Kipta, and Zofia (Jozef) Trabka (nee Kipta); sister-in-law Sophie (John) Smolarczyk (nee Kawecki). As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents; siblings Maria Kukulka and Edward Kipta.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7 from 4-8 pm at Yurs Funeral Home (405 E Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60174). Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, May 8 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick's Parish – Downtown (400 Cedar Street, St. Charles, IL 60174). Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery (Crane Road, St. Charles, IL 60174).
