Janis Griffin Obituary
Janis Shirley Griffin of Monroe, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She was born on May 8, 1947 to the late James and Jane Shirley. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Shirley, Jr.
Janis graduated from Monroe High School and attended ECU. She was the office manager at McCarter Electric for over thirty years.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Pressley Kienle (Toby) and two grandchildren, Liam and Sophie. Janis also leaves behind her sister, Sharon Shirley Steele; and nephews, Harry and Austin Steele and their families.
As her wish, there will be no services, but a celebration of life at a later date.
