Joan M Baldwin

It is with great sadness and deepest love that we remember Joan Margaret Baldwin, born June 10, 1932 in Yonkers, NY, the first child of Henry W. (1901-1982) and Margaret Fletcher Baldwin (1911-1994).

Joan worked as an Administrative Assistant for over 40 years, including years spent in New York City and San Francisco. She moved to Hazlet in 1978, where she lived happily for 47 years. As a committed follower of Christ, she a devoted member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and a volunteer at Bayshore Hospital. Joan loved to dance, so much so that her nickname was "Legs Baldwin." She also loved to travel. She and her friends visited Ireland, Italy, Hawaii, and the Caribbean on multiple cruises.

Joan is predeceased by her parents and her only sibling, Carole Ann Baldwin Fitzgerald (1935-1990), and Carole's husband, Donald (1930-2007). Joan is survived by her 6 nieces and nephews: Donald Fitzgerald (Mary), James Fitzgerald (Julie), Carolyn Gabelman (Richard), Thomas Fitzgerald (Karen), John Fitzgerald (Allyn), and Theresa Santilli (Brian), 22 grand nieces and nephews, 13 great grand nieces and nephews, and her cousin and caretaker, Donna Marie Grady. Joan will be interred with her parents in Oakland Cemetery in Yonkers, NY.
