Jared, a proud tugboat captain, spent his days navigating the waters with the same passion he applied to everything in life. His love for the outdoors was unmatched. Whether he was checking his fields, boiling crawfish for family gatherings, or riding Tug in the “Tuggy Buggy,” his joy was undeniable. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, sharing cold Michelob beers, and eating dinner while watching sunsets. His love of country music often accompanied evenings full of laughter during family movie and game nights, creating moments that will be deeply missed.
Jared's love of the Smokey Mountains mirrored his appreciation for the beauty of life. His days were spent working his land from dawn to dusk, a true commitment and love for his roots.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tracy Nunez Hebert of Forked Island; two sons, Jace Hebert (Emmie Romero) of Forked Island and Kane Hebert of Forked Island; his parents, Robert "Peco" Hebert and Tammy Hebert of Forked Island ; one brother, Cedric Hebert of Forked Island; father-in-law, John Trahan of Leroy; father-in-law, Tony Mire Brannan (Mary) of Encinal, TX; and his dog, Tug Hebert.
