WEAVERVILLE – Jared Dewain Pike, age 32, of Weaverville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Jared was born on July 16, 1991, in Buncombe County. He was of the Christian faith.
He was a 2009 graduate of North Buncombe High School and graduated with honors from Clemson University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree. He was a member of the Clemson Bass Fishing Team. Jared was very mechanically minded. He was skilled at working with electronics and automobiles. He especially enjoyed building\rebuilding guitars. Jared loved his band where he played guitar and drums.
Jared is survived by his parents, Michael and Sheila Pike; a brother, Justin Pike; girlfriend, Sydney Miller; special cousins, Brett and Jimmy Henderson; and two very important people in his life, Ralph and Dee Blum.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harry and Sylvia Pike & Paul and Jean Rice, his special aunt, Kathy Massey and cousin, Amanda Massey.
Jared’s Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, in the chapel of West Family Funeral Home with Pastor Hank Jackson officiating. A private burial will be held in West Memorial Park.
