Jaren Silas Curry, age 45, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Jaren, who was lovingly known to her friends and family as "JJ", was born in Savannah, Georgia, to Steven and Janet Silas.

She was a 1999 graduate of South Effingham High School. After obtaining her nursing license in 2005, Jaren became a dedicated and caring LPN. She last worked for PruittHealth-Seaside in Port Wentworth, Georgia, where she thoroughly loved the residents and they loved her.

Jaren formerly attended Southside Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia, where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was baptized. She later made a deeper commitment to her faith during a revival service at Countryside Baptist Church in Guyton, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin and Mary Lou Silas, Tracy Dixon, Sr., and Louise Dixon; and her uncle, David Silas.

Survivors include her daughter, Camryn Curry; parents, Steven and Janet Silas; brother and sister-in-law, Wes and Alisha Silas; nephews, Bayne and Owen Silas; aunts and uncles, John and Diane Silas, Randy and Jennifer Thrift, and Tracy, Jr. and Sally Dixon; former spouse, Justin Curry; as well as a host of special cousins and extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406).

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
