Jason Daniel Anderson passed away unexpectedly on October 22, 2024, at the age of 42.

Born on November 17, 1981, in Overland Park, Kansas, Jason was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, by his loving parents, Dan and Lou Ann Anderson. He graduated from Oak Park High School and went on to study at Maple Woods Community College and Park University, where he earned degrees in Finance and Business Management, with a minor in Economics.

In 2009, Jason married Heather Simmons, and they were blessed with a son, Miller, born on November 13, 2016. Jason’s love and pride for his son were boundless; Miller was his greatest achievement, and he cherished every moment spent with him.

Jason’s weekends as a child were often spent at the Lake of the Ozarks, fostering his love for the outdoors. He enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, jet skiing, golfing, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Countless memories were created at the Lake of the Ozarks, the family hunting cabin in Mercer, and during fishing trips to Canada and Minnesota.

An avid pool player, Jason could frequently be found at the pool hall, where he quickly became a skilled competitor, reaching a level 7 in Eight Ball and a level 9 in Nine Ball.

Jason worked as a Banking Center Manager at Central Bank in Platte City, where he took pride in his work and valued his relationships with his coworkers and clients. He was also the Vice President of the Platte County Community Center Board.

A devoted father and a friend to all, Jason will be profoundly missed and forever remembered by everyone whose lives he touched.

Jason is preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Aloise Wilkinson; grandmother, Phyllis "Phyl" Anderson; and his cousin and best friend, Seth Larson.

He is survived by his son, Miller Anderson; parents, Dan and Lou Ann Anderson; sister, Christina Anderson; former spouse and mother of his son, Heather Anderson; grandfather, Leslie "Les" Anderson; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

A memorial visitation will be held at Life Church, 7206 N. Corrington Ave., Kansas City, Missouri, on November 9, 2024, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Burial will take place at Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery, 801 N.W. 108th Street, Kansas City, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in memory of Jason. For information on memorial fund contributions, please contact Dan and Lou Ann Anderson or Heather Anderson.
