Jason Bourquin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Seger Funeral Home, Inc. - Atkinson on Aug. 31, 2022.
Jason Bourquin was born on January 28, 1984 to Jayne David & Lawrence Bourquin in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He moved to Nebraska in 1999 when his mom married his Step-Dad, Terry David.
Jason graduated from Rock County High School in 2004. He studied business management at Northeast Community College. He welcomed son Carter Bourquin in 2007 and daughter Daina Bourquin in 2008. He married the love of his life, Crystal Klaus in Long Pine, NE on August 3, 2013. Together they welcomed two more kids to add to the bunch, Dominic Bourquin in 2015 and Eliana Bourquin in 2018.
Jason loved playing baseball, spending time with his wife and kids, and cruising dirt roads looking for deer. Above all he lived for making someone smile or laugh just to brighten their day. He had the biggest heart and the most giving soul. He based his life on protecting and taking care of those he loved. Jason loved the Lord. He was baptized with the Holy Spirit and gave his life to Christ in 2014.
Jason had the passion for construction. He worked for Ziska Construction until 2012. He then worked at Olson's Industries until 2017. After being laid up and told by doctors to rest Jason used this time to take care of his family at home. Jason was employed at Spee-dee Mart in Atkinson from August 2021 to August 2022. He loved making his customers smile before they left. If they smiled he knew he was doing his job.
Jason is survived by his wife, Crystal Bourquin of Atkinson. His children, Carter Bourquin, 15 of Atkinson, Daina Bourquin, 13, of Ainsworth, Dominic Bourquin, 7, of Atkinson, and Eliana Bourquin, 4, of Atkinson. Step Dad Terry David. Sisters April Burkholder of Jacksonville, North Carolina and Brook Wilderson of Brookings, South Dakota. Brother Larry Bourquin, Jr, wife Gina, of North Hills, PA.
Jason is preceded in death by his mother Jayne David, father Lawrence Bourquin, sister Dana Bourquin and grandparents.
