We are sorrowful for the loss of our son Jason Robert Congleton, who passed away on June 22, 2024, in
Perry, Utah at his Mother's home where he was living at the time. Jason was born July 12, 1980, in Boise, Idaho to Allen Congleton and Susan Congleton. He was their 4th son out of six boys. He would have been 44 next month. His death was caused by an unfortunate accidental overdose.
Jason attended McCall-Donnelly school system from kindergarten thru 12th grade. Soon after graduation he moved to Boise, Idaho where he lived for 24 years. He enjoyed some sports in high school but was most passionate about skiing, and snowboarding on Brundage mountain. In the summer he enjoyed water skiing and wakeboarding. His years of working as a bike tech lead him to His love of mountain biking. His dog Milo was a huge part of his life and was always with him whether he was working, grocery shopping or riding his bike.
Jason attended college at College of Western Idaho and earned his Associate Degree in Social Work. He then transferred to Lewis Clark State College to earn his Bachelor's degree. His classes were all online, which suited him best. He finished one year of his Bachelor's degree before passing away. Jason was also an ISSA 2020 Certified Personal Trainer, certified in sports nutrition, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and ISSA Elite Coach.
Surviving family members include his parents Susan Congleton Moore (Chris), and Allen Congleton; brothers Josh Congleton, Justin Congleton (Laura), Jesse Congleton, Jared Congleton (Kristyn), and Jordon Congleton (Julie), Grandfather Tom Ruklic, half- brother Carson Congleton and half-sister Paighton Congleton Carter.
Other surviving family members include step siblings Brock Moore (Cheryl), Brinti Burrup, (Trent), Brooke Jensen (Trevor), and Brianne Moore, Uncle and Aunt Steve and Teresa Bixby, Aunt Mary Bixby, Uncle Gary Congleton (Susie) and Cousins Jessica Bixby Yoder (Nate), Doug Bixby (Kim), Brianna Epstein Snodgrass (Caleb) and nieces Lily Congleton, Kaya Congleton, Nova Congleton and nephew Macky Congleton.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Patricia Bixby, Edward and Shirley Congleton Ruklic, and uncles Jonathan Bixby, Randy Congleton, Craig Congleton, and Marc Epstein. Jason will be cremated, and ashes spread in
McCall, Idaho in July with family together. Jason will surely be missed by everybody that knew him. He is at peace now in welcoming arms.
