Helen Louise Congleton Greenville - Ms. Helen Louise Congleton, 94, died Wednesday, December 17, 2025. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11 am at First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, NC. Interment will be in the Isaac Congleton Family Cemetery in Beattyville, KY. Ms. Congleton, daughter of the late Everett and Nell Sanders Congleton, was born February 22, 1931 in Lee County Kentucky. A graduate of Lee County High School in Beattyville, Kentucky, she attended Bryant and Stratton Business College and the University of Kentucky. She was employed at the Registrar's Office at the University of Kentucky and for 12 years was employed in the Personnel Office at Eastern State Hospital, Lexington, Kentucky. In 1964 she moved to Greenville, North Carolina where she was employed at the Voice of America for over 30 years. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Organization for many years, as well as the Inter Se Book Club and First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. Ms. Congleton enjoyed painting and had a great love of animals, especially cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Dr. Betty Carolyn Congleton. She is survived by cousins in Kentucky. Visitation will follow the memorial service. Arrangements are by Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory, Greenville, NC.
