Jason Kyle Davenport of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on March 16, 2025, in Norman at the age of 37 years.
Jason Kyle Davenport was born on November 11, 1987, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Jeffrey and Kimberley (Woodard) Davenport. He grew up in Norman where he attended Norman Public Schools, graduated from Norman North High School in 2007. On April 13, 2009, He entered the United States Navy serving until January 16, 2013. Following his discharge he remained in Norfolk, Virginia where he worked in the shipyards. In 2015 he moved back to Norman where he began working as a welder and fabricator. He also worked some general labor jobs around Norman. He enjoyed fishing, playing video games, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Don Woodard; and his paternal grandparents, Darrell and Eunice Davenport.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Kim Davenport of Norman; his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Woodard - Knott and her husband Bervin of Norman; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Norman, with Pastor Ken Huddleston officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date at the Independence Cemetery in Norman.
