Jason Mark Faulkner, 52, died in Cleveland, Ohio on June 5 surrounded by his family, after a year-long battle with Lymphoma. Jason was born on May 17, 1972 in Cleveland to his wonderful mom, Eleanor Faulkner. He grew up in Olmsted Falls, Ohio and graduated from Olmsted Falls High School in 1990, where he met his wife Lisa. He graduated from Baldwin Wallace College in 1994 with a Bachelors in Sociology, and went on to pursue a long and fruitful career as an insurance underwriter. His greatest dedication, however, was to Lisa and his four children, Alexia, Seamus, Carter and Jack. He was unwaveringly supportive, loving, disciplined, practical, open-minded, silly, and his reassuring presence was our greatest sense of calm and balance. Jason was an avid cyclist and loved riding up Old Mill and Gates Mills Boulevard. He loved mornings and diner breakfast, often waking up the house at early hours with music and eggs, proclaiming "If you miss the morning, you miss the day." Jason was a passionate swim dad, waking up with his kids for early practices and cheering at every meet. He embodied the enthusiastic and industrious approach to life that he preached, always quick to reference John Wooden's "Pyramid of Success" which you could find laminated in his wallet. Those lucky enough to know him know that he was the easiest person to love and respect. He will be missed colossally by the many family, good friends and colleagues who had the pleasure of knowing him and his easy, infectious smile. Jason is survived by his loving wife, Lisa, his children, Alexia, Seamus, Carter and Jack, his mom Eleanor, sister Samantha, and Aunt Sandy. A celebration of Jason's life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 3pm-7pm at 36805 Lakeshore Boulevard, Eastlake, OH 44095. In true Jay fashion, this will be a casual event with music and yard games and time spent outside. All who knew and loved Jason and want to gather to celebrate his memory are welcome. Parking will be available along the driveway, in the daycare parking lot next door at 36721 Lakeshore Blvd, and at the library directly across the street after it closes at 5pm.

I am very saddened to hear of Jason's passing. I didn't know him well, though we were neighbors for the last several years. We exchanged a friendly word now and then, a friendly wave from our respective lawn mowers. The winter before Jason was diagnosed with lymphoma, I got my truck badly stuck in a snow drift in my driveway. Jason noticed an old guy struggling to dig himself out, and he came over with a shovel and a smile.

Coaching soccer with him when with our oldest girls. He was so calm, cool and collective. Rest in Peace Jason.
