Jason C. Hernandez of Lodi NJ formerly of The Bronx, a cherished individual known for his kind, loving, caring, and humorous personality, passed away on October 13, 2024 at the age of 48. Loving son of Loyda "Alice" Sepulveda and the late Robert. Devoted father of Jaylen Hernandez. Dear brother of Jennifer Rosario and husband Carlos, Jonathan Sepulveda and wife Ronza. Cherished uncle of his godson Jusiah Rosario, Javin Rosario, Jennah Rose Rosario, Jaxxon Rosario, Leonardo Sepulveda, Delilah Rose Sepulveda and Daddy to the most handsome dog Peluche. His departure leaves an unfillable void as Jason was a beacon of kindness and love that will forever live in the hearts of those who knew him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the wake service on Saturday October 19, 2024, 3:00-7:00 pm, at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi with a 4:00 pm Chapel Service.
Whether you knew him as Jason, Jay, Jayjito, Carl, Puto or Hollywood Hov you knew he lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others. Though he spent his adulthood in New Jersey Jason's love for New York and the borough that raised him "Da Bronx" was in constant display either through his attire or his love for Hip-Hop/Rap.His love of martial art movies as a child led him to his passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo. He attended Mark Ramos Academy in Lodi where he successfully achieved the purple belt. He also taught classes and participated in competitions.
He was a dispatcher for EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services in East Rutherford. As described by his General Manager "He was truly someone we all loved being around, his sense of humor, kindness, personality and positivity made him a ray of sunlight in our office". He displayed respect by shaking each individuals hand and personally saying Hello to each member of his team as soon as he reported to work every single day. This was a trait he learned from his father Robert whom he would always reference to by saying "In the words of the great Bobby Sepúlveda".
As we grapple with the loss of his physical presence we should all feel grateful to have known a man with a legacy that will hopefully continue to inspire and guide us. Let's always remember him for his strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for his family, friends and community. Oh, and let's never forget that he was "The most handsome man you've ever seen. Thank Alice for all this handsome".-Hollywood Hov
