Jason Alexander Murphy

Jason Alexander Murphy, 48, was born on March 07, 1977, and passed into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 22, 2025.

Jay was the son of Ernest E. Murphy and Deborah Mullen Murphy (Deceased). He was a proud graduate of Gulf Breeze High School and Pensacola Junior College. As he pursued his degree in general dentistry, Jay attended North Alabama on a football scholarship. Upon graduating, he was selected in the top ten out of eighty students for the University of Florida’s dental school.

As a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ, Jay was a lifelong member of Santa Rosa Shores Baptist Church. His love for his family, friends, and all creatures will be forever missed.

A memorial service will be held for our beloved Jay, 12 noon, Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Santa Rosa Shores Baptist Church, Gulf Breeze, FL, with Pastor Greg Nelson officiating. There will be a luncheon following the service.

Jay is survived by his devoted father, Ernest Murphy (Rebecca Lee Tucker); brother, John G. Murphy; sister, April Barnes (Eric); nephew, Preston Barnes; nieces, Peyton Barnes and Gracie Barnes; great niece, Lilah Barnes.
