Jason Eugene Rickert, 53, of Indianapolis unexpectedly passed away on October 26th, 2021. Jason was born on July 6, 1968 in Fort Wayne, IN to Sandy Wright (mother) and Jack Rickert (father). Jason resided in Indianapolis, IN with his wife of 20 years, Teresa Rickert.
Jason grew up in Brownsburg, IN where he also graduated from Brownsburg High School, class of 1987. Growing up Jason was a phenomenal athlete. He grew up playing baseball, basketball and football. Jason was a part of the 1984 and 1985 Brownsburg High School state championship football team. After high school Jason began a career working in the construction field. He was a master of many trades. Jason had worked for PSE Corporation (professional construction company) over the past several years. He was loved by his coworkers and was known to be the hardest worker on the job. Jason enjoyed cooking, sports, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Jason was a proud Chicago Bears football fan. He defined himself as a proud father and "Papa". He was greatly loved and respected by his peers and family. His presence will be missed, as a "Papa" and husband, but his legacy will live on.
Jason was preceded in death by his father Jack Rickert. He is survived by his wife Teresa Rickert, and his children Ashleigh Blanford, Kevin Moore, Kurtis Moore, and Kristopher Moore; Grandchildren, Reagan Herron, Kylie Moore, Kameron Paul, and another on the way; Mother Sandy Wright; Sister Renee Rickert, (Nephew) Jimmy Garling; Brother Kevin Rickert and Sister-in-Law Lu Ann Rickert; Brother Eric Rickert and Sister-in-Law Kelly Rickert (Niece) Alison Rickert, Katelyn Rickert, and Payton Rickert; Mother/Father-in-Law Charles Benge and Vickie Benge; Mother/Father-in-Law Daniel RIbera and Susan Ribera.
Jason was cremated on November 10th at ARN Cremation services in Zionsville Indiana. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 6pm - 8pm. Services will take place at Antioch Indy Community Church, 5981 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, 46250.
