Jason R. Runstrom, age 47, of Harrison Township, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
Born on May 4, 1978, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Jason was the beloved son of Robert and Jennifer.
Despite facing physical challenges, Jason brought light and joy to those around him. He was a favorite among the staff and residents at MediLodge of Sterling Heights, where he became an integral part of the community. Jason found particular satisfaction in caring for the facility's garden. He took pride in planting and nurturing seeds, sharing the fruits of his labor with others. Autumn was a special time, especially Halloween, when he made sure everyone had the opportunity to pick a pumpkin from the garden-a tradition that brought smiles to many.
Jason also had a love for remote control cars. Enjoying remote-control cars gave him pleasure and fun, except for the time the remote-control car got away and Jason experienced a long journey around the facility to retrieve it. This adventure was fondly recalled by those who knew him.
He is deeply missed by his father Robert (stepmother Linda Silvonen) Runstrom; his mother, Jennifer Kruger; his sister, Rebecca Runstrom; and his extended family of devoted staff and dear friends at MediLodge.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jason's honor may be made to Compassus Hospice, whose compassionate care provided comfort and support during Jason's final days. Their presence was a guiding light through difficult times, and the family extends heartfelt thanks for their kindness and dedication.
