Jason Rushing Obituary
Jason was born January 12, 1977 in Bacon County. He was a certified welder and mechanic and a boiler maker with Local 26 of Savannah. Jason was preceded in death by his brother, Shane Atkinson; grandparents, Esther & Roger Rushing and Cleoman Connell; and his best friend, Jamie Thomas.
Survivors include his daughters, Amber Rushing (Timothy) of Enoree, SC, Johanna of Hazlehurst and Shasta of Baxley; his parents, Kathy (Jerry) Tippins of Baxley and Madison (Gail) Rushing of Surrency; sister, Chastity Rushing of Baxley; brothers, Mitchell Rushing of Surrency and Adrian (Krisann) Atkinson of Baxley; and two grandchildren, Rosaleigh Opal and Brooklyn Marie. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends, Randy Evans and Clifton Kersey also survive.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Gilbert Wommack and Mitchell Rushing officiating.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
