Jason David Tresidder

Jason David Tresidder, 46, of Canton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly, leaving a void in our hearts, on August 12, 2025. Born on September 21, 1978, in Canton, he was the beloved son of David Tresidder and Susan Saltalamacchia.

Jason dedicated his career to serving others as a firefighter and EMT. He was passionate about helping people in times of need, and his bravery and compassion left a lasting impact on the lives he touched.

Outside of his work, Jason embraced life to the fullest. He loved to travel, enjoyed snow skiing, golfing, and boating on Lake Cable. Known for his quick wit, warm personality, and contagious laugh, Jason had a gift for lifting the mood of everyone around him. He especially cherished time with his daughter, Chloe, who was the light of his life. Jason also shared a special bond with his loyal dog, Gigi.

Jason is survived by his daughter, Chloe; mother, Susan Saltalamacchia of Florida; father and mother, Pam and David Tresidder of Green; sisters, Cari (Phil) Errington of Portage Lakes and Brandi (Joe) Ward of Green and Anita Tresidder; brothers, Mikey Morrison of Portage Lakes and Brian (Sarah) Tresidder of Florida; grandmother, Norma Petros; and nieces and nephews, Michael and Casey Wandling, Austin and Morgan Ward, Leia and Lilia Tresidder, and Amelia and Sophia Morrison. He also leaves behind many great friends whom he loved like family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Michael Petros and Vivian and Ernie Tresidder; and brothers, Gary ("Bud") Morrison and Andrew Morrison.

There will be a Celebration of Jason's life held on August 18, 2025.

One of Jason's favorite songs was "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters. As that song reminds us, heroes aren't always in the spotlight-they are the ones quietly lifting others up, bringing light and laughter. Jason was that kind of hero.
