Harold J. Simon Jr.

Harold J. Simon, Jr., age 77, of Massillon, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025.
He was born March 7, 1948, in Akron, the son of Gladys (Williams) Simon and the late Harold Simon, Sr.
Harold served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. as a helicopter mechanic and gunner.
Harold had worked for Timken and Hensel's Paving.
He was a member of Canal Fulton VFW 9795. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, including gardening, hunting, and fishing.
In addition to his mother, Harold is survived by sons, Harold J. (Kristy) Simon, III, Ronald Christopher (Lindsey) Simon; step sons, Frank Heater, Jr., William Heater, Charles Heater; step daughter, Catherine Boley; brothers, Victor (Mary) Simon, Randy Simon, and David "Ricky" Simon; sister, Annette Simon; numerous grandchildren.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence H. Simon; sister, Carol Scott; and step daughter, Tabetha Barnhouse.
Calling hours will be held on SUNDAY, August 3, 2025 from 2 to 4 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home MASSILLON Chapel.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home.
Burial to follow the service at Canal Fulton Cemetery.
