Jasper Snell Obituary
Jasper was born on September 14, 1929, in Marion, LA, and passed away on August 15, 2025, in Farmerville, LA, surrounded by loved ones. He served his country in the Army from February 1951 to February 1953, when he was honorably discharged. Jasper then worked for Koch Nitrogen and Angus Chemical for over 40 years. He loved spending time with his family, whom he loved with all his heart, hunting with his wife, Betty, watching westerns, and his cat, Dooley, was his pride and joy. Jasper was the pillar of his family, and his smile could light up a room. He was a lifelong member of Spencer Baptist Church.
Jasper was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Snell; daughter, Kathy Dunn; son-in-law, Joe Arredondo; grandson, Jesse Scheck; parents, Jasper Sr and Jessie Snell; and brothers, Robert and James Garland Snell.
Jasper is survived by daughters, Tracey Cain (Mike), and Stacey Arredondo; granddaughters, Heather, Misty (Jarrod), Kristyn (Jim), and Ariana; great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Callie, Cooper, Rayleigh, Wesley, Skylyn, Ainsley, Ayden, Liam and Emilia; great-great grandson, Kacey; special cousin, Sherry Spillers; daughter-in-law, Julie Walker; nephews, James and Robert Snell and families, Jace Eppinette, Joseph Wells and other cherished family and friends.
The family wants to give a special thanks to Union General Hospital and Staff, Dr. Kalid and Staff, and Dr. Grandy and staff for taking such good care of him during his last days. Every moment and memory with him will be cherished and he will forever be missed by everyone that had the honor of knowing him.
