We were not fortunate enough to know Javier but we do know his son, Jesus, who was an excellent student of ours at DePaul University´s Center for Journalism Integrity & Excellence. Javier must have been a wonderful father to have raised such a loving, accomplished, caring son. We send our deepest condolences to Jesus, his mother, sisters, brothers and extended family.
