Jaxsen Shane Elkins, age 11, of Madison Township, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025. He was born September 17, 2013, in
Middletown, OH to Joe and Rachel (Hubbard) Elkins. Jaxsen was a student at Madison Elementary School. He was an avid collector of football trading cards. He enjoyed playing playground football, little league baseball, and playing football and gaming at home with his big brother Aiden. He loved being outdoors shooting and fishing. He especially loved riding his 4-wheeler everywhere he went. Jaxsen loved spending time with his dogs and chickens, especially his Rooster Billy. The best part of his day was turning wrenches with his dad but always ending it by giving his mom the biggest and best hugs a mom could ask for. Jaxsen is survived by his mom and dad, Rachel and Joe Elkins; brother, Aiden Elkins; aunt, Deana (Mike) Johnson; uncle, Daniel (Dawn) Eggenberg, great-grandmother, Anna Dumford, great-aunt, Sharon (Jeff) Dickerson, cousins, Taylor, Carly and Morgan; paternal grandmother, Verna Jean Elkins; great-aunts, Bonnie Crosby, Bessie Tennant, and Cherry Crosby; uncles, Jesse James Elkins, Timothy (Tricia) Elkins, Scott (Amy) Elkins, Mike (Kelly) Elkins, Daniel (Ava) Elkins, Rick (Patricia) Elkins ; aunt, Debbie Blevins; special cousin, Winston and numerous loving cousins, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother, Betty Jones; maternal great-grandfather, Ronnie Dumford; paternal grandfather, James Winston Elkins and cousin, Timothy Elkins Jr. A Visitation will be held Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Baker-Stevens-Parramore Funeral Home, 6850 Roosevelt Ave.
Middletown, OH 45005. Jaxsen's Mohawk family and fellow students will be welcome from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Family and friends of the family will be welcome from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Everett Back officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
