Jaxson was born August 11, 2006, in Columbus, GA, son of Jamie Griggs and Missey Murphy Griggs. He was a 2024 graduate of Glenwood School where he played football and baseball. Jaxson was mechanically minded and loved to tear something down just to rebuild it. He also found great pleasure in piddling in the shop with his dad at every opportunity. Jaxson also had an affinity for racing and was a regular at East Alabama Motor Speedway. Dancing was something he also was good at doing.
We will remember him as a simple man of few words; however, he always had a smile on his face. He never seemed to be down. Family was his life, and he enjoyed being at his home surrounded by family.
While we don’t understand why he was taken from us so soon, we know he will forever live on in our hearts and memories. We will continue to share his story with his future nieces, nephews and cousins. Thank you for all of the fond memories and great times. Keep on smiling Jaxson.
Jaxson was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Cheryl Murphy.
