Jay S. Jacobs, 91, of Breinigsville, died Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Lorraine (Stankiewicz) Jacobs.
Born April 12, 1933, in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Sidney and Lillian (Ruby) Jacobs.
Jay spent several years in the Air Force where he met his wife, Lorraine. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in July, 2024. Jay was a teamster representative and dedicated route driver for Wonder Bread in Buffalo, NY for many years until retirement. Jay's pride and joy was his family, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who enjoyed every moment they could spend together. An avid sports fan, Jay spent many football Sundays cheering on his Buffalo Bills with family and friends.
Surviving with his wife are his daughter, Joy Goudie (Francis) of Irvington, NY and son, Steve Jacobs (Cathy) of Allentown, PA; grandchildren, Elizabeth DeAngelis (Mike), Sidney Goudie (Kellyn), Jonathan Jacobs (Suzie), Caitlin Germanoski (Tyler), and Samantha Jacobs; great grandchildren, Esme, Oliver, Virginia, Sawyer, Zoey, Francis, and Ezra Jay; brother, Jan Jacobs and extended family. He was predeceased in death by his daughter Jamie and sister, Mary Sue Branning.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 4th at Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. A calling will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
