Norma M. Pickel

Norma M. Pickel, of Macungie, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. She was the wife of the late Lester L. Pickel. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Rafael and Dolores A. (Silva) Soler. She was the companion of Donald L. Moser with whom she shared over 15 years.
Before retiring, she worked over 20 years in the sanitation department of Kraft Foods. Previously she attended the former Lighthouse Church, Orwigsburg. She will be remembered for her baking of cheesecake and angel food cakes and gardening. She loved to travel to Oklahoma to see her family and in her former years she traveled to Atlantic City, NJ.
Survivors: companion Donald; sons Ronald Miniatis and his wife Theresa of Atlanta, GA, Dalton Whitby and his wife Nita of Lawton, OK, Eric Whitby of Danielsville; daughters Cynthia Riddick and her husband Matthew of Allentown; brother Hector Soler and his wife Joan of Allentown; sister Eva A. Smith of CA; step daughter, Kathleen Gamblin and her husband Bud;20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Linda Johnson, Infant Daughter and brother in law James Smith.
Memorial service: 4:00 PM, Sunday, December 8 at Schmoyer Funeral Home 8926 Brookdale Rd., Breinigsville. Calling period will be from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
