He was the store manager at the former Kmart in Allentown for 40 years. Jay honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors: children, Shane Slaughenhoupt (fiancée, Karen Smith) of Schnecksville and Sonya Millington (Justin) of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Devon Millington, Emerson and Bryce Slaughenhoupt; several nephews and 1 niece. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Earl and Don Slaughenhoupt.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Keller Funeral Home, Fogelsville. Online condolences may be offered at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
