John M. Morris, Jr., 80, of Macungie, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp. He was the fiancé of Constance Baran. Born in Riverside, NJ, he was the son of the late John Morris, Sr. and Victoria (Green) Morris.
For 37 years John operated the Colebrook Tavern, in Lebanon, which he owned with his siblings. Prior to purchasing the Tavern, John was a manager at Woolworth's for 21 years, traveling to various cities launching new retail branches. Earlier in life, John enlisted and honorably served in the United States Marine Corps.
Passionate about flying, John earned his pilot's license in 1989 and promptly purchased his very own plane, a 1964 Piper Cherokee N25D. Although aviation was his passion, his true joy came from spending time with Connie's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors: fiancée, Connie and her daughters, Michelle Reichenbach (Dan) of Allentown and Cheri Longenbach (Todd) of Macungie; siblings, Fred Morris (Cynthia) of Oaklyn, NJ and Lauretta Morris (Claire) of Lititz; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister, Elizabeth Morris.
A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, December 14 at 11 am at Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation, 10 to 11 am. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.KellerFuneralHomes.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, care of the Funeral Home, PO Box 52, Fogelsville, PA 18051.
