David M. Daniel

David M. Daniel, 78 years of Orefield, passed away on Sunday November 24, 2024. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Wilhelm and Dorothy (Stettler) Daniel.
David was a graduate of Parkland High School, Class of 1964 and later Bloomsburg University. He honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Forrest Sherman. He was a school bus driver for the Parkland School District for many years. Later, David was a pharmacy technician at various pharmaceutical distribution centers.
David was a charter member of the Kuhnsville Area Lions Club, and a very loyal member since 1985, where he served as treasurer for the last 31 years. He received the Melvin Jones Award for outstanding service for humanitarian efforts. David was also former treasurer for the Pennsylvania Lions District 14-K for 10 years.
He was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church in Orefield, where he was president of the cemetery association and past superintendent of the former Krocksville Sunday School. He was an avid Phillies baseball fan and very knowledgeable about baseball history.
Survivors: sisters, Barbara Haldaman of Federal Heights, CO and Joan Heintzelman of Schnecksville; nieces and nephews.
Services: A service will take place at 11 AM on Friday, December 6, at Jordan Lutheran Church, 5103 Snowdrift Rd, Orefield. There will be a visitation from 10 to 11 AM in the Church.
