Jayden Phillips went to be in the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 19, 2013. He was born on March 26, 2012 in Owensboro to his parents, Aaron Corley and Jerilyn Phillips.

Jayden was a tough little boy who put a smile on all the faces of those who crossed his path. He will be remembered for his joyous laugh and eyes that seemed to follow you wherever you went. You wouldn't see him without his turtle or teddy bear at his side. He enjoyed Curious George and was lulled to sleep by the music of George Jones. He attended church often at Greater Vision Baptist Church, in the arms of his mother, where he was well known by the congregation. He was loved by all the nursing and hospital staff at Kosair Children's Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his hospital buddy, Wyatt Oldham.

He is survived by his parents, Jerilyn Niqole Phillips and Aaron Mitchell Corley both of Hawesville; his maternal grandparents, Tracy and Billy Baize of Hawesville and Jerry Phillips of Owensboro, his paternal grandparents; Shannon and Mitchell Corley of Hawesville; his maternal great- grandparents, Nancy and Donald Pierce of Owensboro, Connie and Jack Pevler of Owensboro; his paternal great-grandparents, Jerry and Ruth Phillips of Owensboro and Dessie and Tony Shelton of Hawesville, his great- great grandparents and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Kosair Childrens Hospital for all the love and care they provided.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Tim Russ officiating services. He will be laid to rest at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from Noon until the time of service on Wednesday.
