Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory - De Pere on Feb. 5, 2024.
Jayne Mary Anderson, 77, of
De Pere, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on February 03, 2024.
I am the daughter of Edward Charles Fowles and Audrey (Russell) Fowles born on September 15, 1946. I graduated from Green Bay West High School class of 1965. I worked at Grandcare Nursing Home and San Luis Manor following high school. I worked in the family business many years and helped managed the family business, Machine Service Inc, along with my brothers Edward and William (Bill). My father had transitioned the business to my generation many years prior to his passing and now on to his grandsons.
Living in De Pere this past 27 years.
I retired from the family business in 2013 but have still visited from time to time because I missed seeing the family and people that I worked with.
Met my husband Michael (Mike) Anderson after high school through a mutual friend and we married on December 23, 1967, at Annunciation Catholic Church and after a short honeymoon, he left for his next duty station in the Army, and they didn't give him a lot of time off. When I saw him get on that plane heading to Vietnam I thought I would never see him again but thank God he made it back. Mike and I enjoyed bowling in a few couples leagues many years ago.
I loved shopping and reading, mostly mystery novels, a lot of them. I enjoyed baking when we had family gathering and holidays and spending time with all the family. I also enjoyed home decorating as Mike will attest to. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 and now 5 years later our 55th. Speaking of shopping, my favorite store to show at, Christopher and Banks, asked me a few times to model their clothing lines of which I was thrilled.
I was honored to be featured on the cover of one of our nephews record albums. It pictured me a few years earlier in my first communion dress. This was Sam Fowles Band.
I enjoyed the many get-togethers I had over the years with my dear cousins, Nancy Peterson, Kay Corcoran, Kathie Ryerson, and Judy Russell and of course the many shopping trips. Trips to Door County, many interesting eating places and of course chocolate venues. We enjoyed many cruises with friends along with trips to Hawaii and England, Paris, and Germany on a semi business/pleasure trip.
I am a member of the AVVA, Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America and enjoyed the many get togethers with all of our friends. I also enjoyed sitting with Mike watching Packer games although sometimes I would be doing other things in the kitchen between plays. I was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Green Bay.
Jayne is survived by her husband Michael "Mike" and our sons, Michael Jr. and Aaron (Kristy); grandchildren Lauren (Andrew) Sislo, Ryan Anderson, Amelia and Eli Butz; great-grandchildren Audrey Rivera (proudly named after my mother) and Mason Sislo. Sisters-in-law Linda Fowles, Jackie Fowles, and Roxanne Sadowitz; nieces and nephews Christopher (Katie) Fowles, David Fowles, Samuel (Krista) Fowles, Sandra (Bryan) Monzon, Michelle (Filipe) Ceva, and many grand nieces and nephews also survive.
I was preceded in death by my parents Edward and Audrey (Russell) Fowles and brothers William "Bill" and Edward "Ed" Fowles.
Family and Friends may call Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, WI 54115 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, February 16, 2024. Visitation will continue at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 401 Gray Street,
Green Bay, WI 54303, on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM with Fr. Don Everts officiating. Interment to follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum.
A special thank you to our personal "Angel/Caregiver" Wendy, whom we loved dearly. She cared for Jayne for many months and continued that caregiving at the assisted living facility. She is the daughter that Jayne wished she had. Truly love between them. Also thank you Tracey for your abundant caregiving and another special thank you to long time dear friend Nancy Tomchek for all the love and support these last few years. I wish to thank the caregivers at Allouez Parkside Village for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Research, Wisconsin Humane Society (which she has a soft spot in her heart for), or
