Jayne Frances (Noott) Chiappone, a resident of Fishkill, NY passed away on August 27, 2025, after a Seven-year battle with Alzheimer's Disease, she was 61 years old.
Jayne was a beloved Wife, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin, Friend, and Co-worker to many here in the US and in her beloved home country of England.
Jayne was born in Swindon England on March 27, 1964, to Robert Leslie Oliver Noott and Jeanette Vera (Perkins) Noott.
In England, Jayne was an extraordinarily successful cosmetologist and eventually started her own business, with her extensive list of clients. Jayne had a passion for travel which brought her to the US in 1989, where she met and eventually married Robert M. Chiappone. Jayne and Robert were married at Saint John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac, NY on December 5, 1992.
Jayne loved spending time with, and talking to her family and many friends. She would fuss over and spoil her cats and dogs, all of which she loved so deeply. Jayne longed to return to England as much as possible to see family, friends, and soak in the countryside and culture that she adored. Even though she lived far from England, Jayne tried to instill upon her niece and nephews the importance of education and love of traveling, as a way to improve their opportunities and broaden their horizons. Jayne loved her niece and nephew's, taking the time to talk to them about topics in their lives and even taught Kyle to ride a bicycle. Jayne loved the British Royal Family, sparkling jewelry, shopping, nice clothes, handbags, shoes, champaign, elephants, white swans, 80's music, dancing, sunny beach holidays, scuba diving, snow skiing, traveling to far off destinations, whale watching and driving convertible cars – Fast.
Jayne decided to return to school as an adult student and attended Westchester Community College where she earned her Associate's Degree with high honors in 2001. Jayne was active on campus where she was involved with student clubs and volunteer organizations often taking leadership roles. After graduating WCC, Jayne attended Wellesley College in Wellesley Massachusetts as a Davis Scholar. Jayne graduated from Wellesley College in 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations, again with high honors. Jayne would tell family and friends that returning to school was one of the most rewarding endeavors she had ever undertaken. After graduation from Wellesley, Jayne worked as a Chemical Trader before deciding to pursue a career in Teaching.
Jayne accepted a Teaching Position with the NYC Board of Education in 2005 and worked at PS 195 in the Bronx for 2 years while obtaining her Master's Degree in Education from Manhattanville College in Harrison NY. In 2007 Jayne was hired by the Carmel Central School District in Carmel, NY and worked at a career she loved, as a Special Education teacher until 2021. Jayne loved working with her students doing everything that she could to enrich their lives and education.
After being diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2020 Jayne decided to participate in Alzheimer's research with Mt Sinai Hospital in NYC. Between 2020 and 2025, Jayne participated in numerous studies with the hospital, she would tell the doctors and staff on every visit that it was her hope that her participation would help researchers to defeat this horrible disease. As Jaynes' final gift to Alzheimer's research, she donated her brain, so that doctors and researchers could better understand the disease and find a cure, a true testament to her unselfishness and deep desire to help others.
Jayne was an inspirational shining light and a funny sweet soul who will be missed by everyone who knew her. Jayne is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Robert of Fishkill, NY, her brother, Carl Noott and Nephew, Kyle James Noott of the UK, her brother, David Noott, sister-in-law, Dawn Noott, Niece and Nephew, Jamie and Harrison Noott of the UK, her Uncle, Mick Noott and Aunt, Moira Noott of the UK. Other relatives in the UK include the Durston Family and the Steele Family, along with the Weaver Family, the Andrews Family, the Pinn Family and the Rust Family who were long time friends, whom she loved dearly.
Jayne's family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and Researchers at Mt Sinai Hospital in NYC, as well as the Doctors, Nurses, Staff and Volunteers at Vassar Hospital and Vassar Hospice in Poughkeepsie NY, who made Jayne's final days the most comfortable they could possibly be.
