Jayne Christine (Essig) Miller, age 76, of West Alexandria, OH passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 with her loving family by her side. She was born March 15, 1949 in Middletown, OH to the late Milo P. and Ferne E. (Smith) Essig.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother John Essig; and her sister Janet Adams.
Jayne is survived by her husband of 60 years, James “Ron” Miller; son Jamie (Janet) Miller; daughter Sharron Miller; grandchildren Kasey, Brittany, Jeremy, Goldie, Brandon and special grandson Brett; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers Joe (Janet) Essig and Jerry Essig; sisters-in-law Sandra (Terry) Karns, Brenda Ross and Judy Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 from 9:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 am at the First Brethren Church, 100 S. East Street, Gratis, OH with Pastor Bob Shannon officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gratis. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue, Dayton, OH 45420 or to the Humane Society of Preble County, 951 S. Barron Street, Eaton, OH 45320.
