Jayson was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Jayson Simpson; his grandparents, William Howard Norton Jr. and Winnie Bell (Cowles) Norton, and Wayne Allen Simpson and Morrella Lavon (Ellison); and his uncle, Michael DeWayne Norton.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Michael Simpson; his parents, Michael Wayne and Charlotte Simpson of Raymore, Missouri; and his two sisters, Leslie Ann (Simpson) Beardall and her husband Luke of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Melissa May (Simpson) Braun and her husband Travis of Odessa, Missouri.
Jayson was a proud uncle to Braden K. Braun, Ronin Beardall, and Ayla Beardall, and will also be remembered fondly by many cousins and his aunt, Ginger (Sullins) Glasmer of Wichita, Kansas.
A Celebration of Life honoring Jayson will be held from 2:00–4:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 802 NW Vesper Street, Blue Springs, Missouri.
