Jeane Crider, passed away peacefully at home, Dec. 5, 2025, at the age of 91.
Jean was born on Sept. 14, 1934, in Marion, Ohio, to Thurland and Dorothy (Lowry) Trickey. She graduated in 1952 from Marion Harding High School and became a telephone operator for The General Telephone Company. She was assigned to Circleville during the telephone strike of 1956, during that time she met her husband, Pancho (William) Crider, they married on March 30, 1957 and enjoyed 34 loving years together, until his passing.
Jeane was an active member of the Pickaway County Senior Center for 25 plus years where she enjoyed line dancing and other activities while making many, many friends. She enjoyed watching television westerns and sports, her favorites included any sport her grandchildren were involved in, all Cincinnati & Cleveland sports teams, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. In her youth she played fast-pitch softball and danced on roller skates. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Along with her parents and husband, Jeane was preceded in death by her companion, Ed Tomlinson, with whom she spent many loving years; brothers, Dale and Thomas Trickey, Robert Smiley; and sister, Billie Pierce.
She is survived by her daughters, Pam Johnson (Rex) and Cheryl (Alan) Young; grandchildren, Steven, Mitchell (Julie), David (Carly) and Hannah Johnson, and Phillip Young; “sister-in-law” Liz Arledge; Kym (Brian) Barr, Teresa Walker, Tommy and Todd (Jennifer) Tomlinson and their children; nieces, nephews, and all of her special friends & neighbors, who she loved dearly.
The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice and Right at Home, In Home Care.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm, Wed., Dec. 10, at Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville. A private graveside will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate and request donations be made to the Pickaway County Senior Center in her memory.
